Export & switching

There are two ways to get your templates out. Software you control can export any approved template through the export API. Without the API, the workspace Owner can ask for any template, or the whole workspace, through Settings → Your data → Request my data export; we email it to the Owner as JSON within 30 days. The JSON contains a template’s blocks, field definitions and sample data, with referenced pictures and files embedded. Export does not consume credits.

The template export API is documented in the API reference. PDF, DOCX and HTML generation produce documents for use outside Ristmark, but these output formats do not preserve all editable template behaviour. DOCX uses flow layout and has the limitations described in the terms.

Returning a workspace or switching provider

Email support@ristmark.app from the workspace Owner’s address. Identify the workspace, whether you want a copy, a switch or deletion, your intended destination, and any preferred timing. Do not send passwords or API keys. We verify your authority before releasing information.

Full-workspace return is handled through support. The template export button does not perform a full-workspace return. We exclude credentials, security secrets, internal model/system instructions and other internal implementation material; this does not exclude your content or metadata that the law entitles you to receive. We cannot recreate files already lawfully deleted.

Generated PDF, DOCX and HTML exports are streamed to you and are not kept in a separate server archive. Keep the downloaded files. Deleting a source template does not delete recipes saved from it; a team manager can delete those recipes separately.

Annex C of the terms sets the transition, retrieval and deletion rules. There is no separate switching or data-egress fee. Receiving products may need to map Ristmark’s template format to their own structures. Keep independent copies and verify the transfer before requesting final deletion.
