Pricing & limits
Every plan includes the full deterministic engine and confidence-scored migration (AI migration is in Beta). Plans differ only in credits.
Generation costs ½ credit per page, counted per rendered page. Nothing is rounded up per document: a one-page document costs ½ credit, a three-page invoice 1.5 credits, a 12-page tenancy agreement 6 credits. Migrating a document into a template also spends credits, priced by the AI work it takes: migrating a template into Ristmark costs about 36 credits for a typical three-page document — it’s charged per source page, so a seven-page document costs proportionally more. That’s the step that runs the AI; recognizing an already-uploaded document costs less.

Ristmark is for business use only, including sole traders. A business-purpose declaration is required; VAT registration is not. The table shows monthly net prices. At Latvian 21% VAT, the monthly totals are €22.99 Basic, €35.09 Starter, €95.59 Pro and €240.79 Scale. Free is €0. Where another rate is legally required, the total changes accordingly; checkout shows the tax-inclusive total and recurring payment obligation before you buy. Eligible cross-border EU business supplies may use reverse charge; Latvian domestic supplies do not qualify merely because the buyer has a VAT number. Tax details are optional where not legally required for the transaction.
Page and document counts are illustrations based on four pages per document, assuming the allowance is used only for generation (Free’s one-time migration grant is not counted). Actual counts depend on document length and credits used for migration or other metered operations.
What counts as what
- A migration is one AI recognition of an uploaded document into a template, priced by page. Editing and re-editing a template afterwards is free.
- A generation is one rendered document (PDF/HTML/DOCX), whether from the app or the
/v1API — ½ credit per page, counted per rendered page, always. Each item in an API batch — or a row in a spreadsheet-generate run — is metered the same way. - Credits denser in cost (a longer migration, a bigger model) use more of the pool per operation — the credit number is what stays the same across a month, not the underlying AI spend.
The Free plan’s two buckets
Free gets 200 credits every month for generating documents, plus a separate, one-time 400-credit grant for migrating your first templates. Issuance is subject to the programme’s monthly grant limit; your usage screen shows your actual balance. The grant doesn’t renew and can’t be spent on generation — it exists so migrating your templates never leaves you with nothing left to actually generate a document with. Once it’s gone, migration and recognition draw from your monthly allowance like everything else.

Purchased credits have no automatic expiry
Your monthly allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month (UTC), whatever day you subscribed. If you buy additional credits on top of it, that balance has no automatic expiry — it carries over month to month and is drawn from only after your monthly allowance (and, on Free, the one-time migration grant) runs out. Refunded or charged-back purchases and workspace deletion can remove credits, subject to the remedies in the terms.
At your limit
Check Settings → Usage any time to see how close you are to a cap. At the cap, further migrations and generations pause until your next monthly cycle — or until you upgrade or buy more credits. Every plan hard-stops at its cap — you’re never billed for usage you didn’t buy.
Changing plan
Settings → Plans → Upgrade (workspace owner only). Upgrade timing and adjustments are shown before confirmation; billing is handled through Stripe. Cancelling returns you to the Free plan at the end of the period; credits you bought remain spendable, subject to refunds, chargebacks and workspace deletion.
